A tracking number connects a parcel to events recorded by its carrier. It is different from an order number and is normally provided only after the seller has prepared the shipment.

Where to find a tracking number
Check the dispatch confirmation, text messages, the retailer's order page and the carrier's app. A payment receipt or order confirmation may not contain it yet. Look for labels such as tracking number, shipment ID, parcel number or consignment number.
What tracking numbers look like
Formats vary by carrier. Posti often uses JJFI identifiers, UPS numbers begin with 1Z, and postal UPU S10 numbers use two letters, nine digits and two final letters. Numeric formats can match several carriers, so the sender's delivery information is also useful.
How to use the number
Copy the entire value into the tracking field without spaces around it. We normalize common separators, identify likely carriers and fetch available events. You can always compare the result with the carrier's official service.
Order number or tracking number?
An order number identifies a purchase inside the shop. It normally cannot be used in a carrier's system. Ask the sender for the shipment's tracking number if only an order reference is shown.
